I'm not sure entirely where I first met Henry, but we can be fairly certain it involved a pint in one or other of Woodstock's pubs. I have laboured for him on small building jobs, and whilst 20 years his younger, I was always amazed at his stamina even into his 70s. I have travelled with him which needless to say involved mainly sitting outside one cafe or another in the likes of Dubrovnik or Lisbon, dividing passing women into 'totty' and 'non-totty'; a dangerous pastime given that in his latter years he was as deaf as a post. I have learned more than I could ever wish to know about plastering, something Henry was passionate about, even if no one else in his company was. But what I shall remember most about Henry was his integrity and kindness he showed to those he valued - on occasion he was even known to buy a round of drinks, all be it not that often. I am sure I will never be able to see a pint of Tribute without remembering him moaning about something or other. Rest in peace Old One. You went way too soon.
